As an International Operations Agent, you will be responsible for the effective coordination, progress tracking, and communication management of day-to-day international freight forwarding activities—covering imports into and exports out of Turkey—across all modes of transport (air, ocean, and surface). You will ensure that all shipments are handled in line with customer requirements and contractual agreements, while delivering a high level of service and operational excellence.

• Gather all necessary details (e.g. regulations, certificates, documentation) to prepare accurate and complete shipment quotations
• Provide a “best in service” approach to meet and exceed customer expectations
• Advise customers on optimal shipping solutions and end-to-end logistics requirements
• Coordinate daily import/export operations, including reviewing orders and shipping documents
• Track shipments, communicate delays or issues, and work with customers to resolve them
• Collaborate with sales teams and international partners to ensure transparent communication
• Ensure timely and accurate billing of all shipments in line with company policies
• Comply with all applicable regulatory requirements (e.g. customs, IATA, DG regulations)
• Ensure all files are billed and closed before month-end deadlines
• Support onboarding and cross-training of new and existing team members
• Execute Dangerous Goods shipments in full compliance with legal and safety standards
• Build trusted relationships with customers as a reliable logistics advisor
• Prepare competitive and profitable quotations
• Set and monitor shipping schedules, coordinating with carriers, ports, and customers
• Manage all aspects of international operations including customer service, data entry, and documentation
• Monitor shipment progress and update systems promptly; resolve any deviations from schedule
• Coordinate pickup and delivery with carriers and international agents
• Ensure adherence to customer SOPs and internal KPIs and quality standards

• 2 years experience in a similiar role and industry 
• Experience in international freight forwarding (air, ocean, or surface), ideally in both import and export
• Strong understanding of global logistics processes and regulatory requirements
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office tools
• CargoWise experience a plus
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
